In addition to his work as the Executive Vice President and Provost, Paul continues to teach occasionally in the undergraduate classroom, online, and in the limited-residency Ph.D. Program in Sustainability Education at Prescott College. Paul believes that student learning and faculty scholarship can be most effective, engaging, and transformative when integrated through participatory, field- and community-based projects. Since the early 1990’s Paul has been exploring the potential of technology in classroom, online, and hybrid learning environments to increase diverse student engagement and success. Prior to coming to Prescott College in 2005, Paul has held faculty and administrative positions at various institutions including the University of Arizona, the College of The Bahamas, and Arizona International College. Paul regularly participates in national conversations around educational innovation and best practices in liberal learning.
